Well, bloody hell, I'm back on dial-up again. I've transferred 41.94 GB since the beginning of the month (my record this year is 122.88 GB in December). I almost thought I should switch over to Telus ADSL when the Shaw fuckers said that a new service, called High-Speed Xtreme-I (for an added $15) is available.
They claim that the connection allows 5 Mb downstream and 1 Mb upstream, and, most importantly, a sweet, sweet 50 GB/month download limit. Sounds too good to be true.
My eyes almost water when I remember the carefree days of 2001 when FTP servers ran rampant in the lush dataforests, I could pull down a few new moviews every day and people would trip over themselves to get an account on my server.
Man. *sigh* Well, gonna give that "xtreme" shit a shot. I can't live without the 'net.
