Fear and Loathing in Heaven

But I bet he'd could be comfortable in hell as well. Hunter S. Thompson, the author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the pioneer of Gonzo journalism has shot himself today at the age of 67 (more info here and here).
While suicide is one of the most inexplicably, abstractly devastating experiences that can happen to those close to the deceased, I suppose it wasn't altogether out of character for Thompson. Well, here's to all you gave the world! I hope you're still doing LSD, pot and ether and eating adrenal glands as you're commenting on wherever you are now.
