As of late, despite some flourishing comment threads such as people waiting at the bus/stop and Half-Life 2, Indeed, I keep getting cowardly little comments from anonymous posters with fake e-mail addresses.
One, for instance, accused me of being white and called attention to herself being a black girl, for no apparent reason; just today, a reply to the 2 AM Pastimes thread simply said: "mike your [sic] a bitch."
Well, I can't say I don't completely care; after all, who wants to be called a bitch by random strangers? At most, however, it is extremely annoying to get these "shout and run" incidents without any indication as to what exactly their posters were upset by. Typically, though, these posts seem to be either from angry black teenagers or angry white feminists. At that, I don't recall making any particularly scathing comments that could offend either, but, frankly, I couldn't care less.
Let me say one thing right here: I don't give a fuck if your fragile little person was hurt by any of the content of my blog, but I would be extremely interested in debating whatever part, of whatever you disagree with me on, with you. Yes, you always have the option of writing in "Anonymous" as your username; this version of the website (as opposed to version 1.0 which didn't have the capability and 2.0 where I turned the option off) invites comments. I will not delete them unless they're from Paul making "yo mama" jokes fifteen times in a row.
I have to emphasize that, if you're trying to make a spur-of-the-moment political statement of some sort, it won't work; comment moderation and notification make sure I personally approve every comment. There is simply no reason to play this game.
So there. Either contribute something interesting or fuck the fuck off. Cheers.
