• If you are going to do something, never ask for permission to do it.
• Everything can be explained, but you should never attempt to explain everything.
• Honesty is the highest virtue.
• Morality is merely a point of view.
• Literature is the highest pinnacle of culture.
• There is nothing new in the universe, yet there is always more than meets the eye.
• Keep your intentions pure and your mouth shut.

From the Women
• If the squeaky wheel gets the grease, then squeak, dammit.
• There are two parts to every whole.
