Hurray for the Tube!

"Prison Break," "House" and "Lost" are back in full swing. Life is good. ;)

They'd better get "the office" up and running ASAP too :)

Yeah, I know, man; I love that show! I think the problem is that some shows started shooting episodes earlier than other shows. "Prison Break" and "House" held out as long as possible, before showing their pre-strike episodes (this is why "House" had a Christmas episode in February, for example). Most of "Lost"'s season four was probably finished way before the strike even started (because of the high (post-)production values and SFX that needed to be put in).

Since "The Office" is such an uncomplicated show to shoot (from a technical standpoint), it was probably produced closer to the broadcast schedule, so they most likely shut down the whole production when the strike started (what with Steve Carell showing support for the writers). It's a damn shame, really, but it is what it is.

And with rumours that the WGA strike could get settled soon, things are looking good!

If you saw the last House episode, Mike, you know about a certain possible (it was hinted, but not confirmed) factoid about Thirteen that was revealed. Apparently, the actress played a character in The OC who had the same factoid--and confirmed it. Could history repeat itself? Only time will tell...

Yeah, man. Suddenly, food is starting to taste good again, eh? ;)

Meh. I guess the factoid in question is not that exciting to a person for whom said factoid is also true - if we are both talking about the same factoid, that is, heh. Really, if these sorts of insinuations are what it takes to get an audience excited, television has reached a new low.

By the way, Roman, you should try watching "jPod" - it's pretty much about people working for Electronic Arts in Vancouver. ;)

Yep, Mike, we're thinking of the same factoid. As for your last sentence, people get excited by, or are expected to get excited over things like (any amount of) nudity and "reality" TV shows. My conclusion: television reached and passed that low a loooooong time ago.

Meh. I am personally a fan of the extremes. Titillation was never my game.
