you had me at dog penis
To Rod Moody-Corbett

when i was little
I used to pee my bed
my parents tried everything

put plastic sheeting
under my sheets
promised me

cassette tape
red firetruck  money
sure  it was quite

embarrassing when I'd
wake up in kindergarten
or at home  all moist

but then
after the snickers and laughs
i'd become inured

to the little
phallic betrayal
the sweet warm stench

rapidly drying
into a sticky
cold

now I don't piss the bed
but every once in a while
i remember the freedom

of urethral release
how unlike everyone else
i could do anything

sure  I could
still whip it out
show the bushes who's boss

and I may  for now
i look forward to my
inevitable incontinence
